Zafferana Etnea

Zafferana is situated 700 m above sea level, on the eastern slopes of mount Etna. Its territory includes the top of the volcano and is caracterised by beautiful naturalistic landscapes, dense fortests and lava deserts.

Zafferana is one of the towns of “Parco dell'Etna” (The Etna nature reserve) and its territory includes three important valleys that represent the volcano genesis: Valle del Bove, Val Calanna and Valle San giacomo.

This town is located in a pleasant position, ideal for those who love nature and tranquility, between the sea and the mountain. Zafferana represents one of the accesses to get to the volcano.
